Marking the National Day for Missing Persons
Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo (YIHR KS) and activists of My Initiative today marked the National Day for Missing Persons in Kosovo. The symbolism of today’s action, which was characterised by placing 1781 clothing hangers with each displaying a hanging question mark, shows the neglected fate of such a great number of people, even thirteen years after the war.
Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo and its activists requested from relevant institutions to take responsibility and show commitment in resolving the fate of the missing, ensuring justice and restoring the dignity of the victims’ families.
